Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease or line an 8×8 baking pan with parchment paper.
  • Make dough: Whisk flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt in a bowl. Stir in milk and melted butter just until combined.
  • Roll out dough on a floured surface into a 9×12-inch rectangle.
  • Make filling: Mix softened butter, brown sugar, cinnamon, maple syrup, and optional nutmeg. Spread evenly over dough.
  • Roll dough into a tight log. Slice into 9 rolls using a sharp knife or dental floss.
  • Arrange in pan, spiral-side up, just touching.
  • Bake for 22–25 minutes, or until lightly golden and baked through.
  • Make glaze: Mix cream cheese, butter, powdered sugar, maple syrup, and salt until smooth.
