Ingredients
For the Dough :
- 2 cups all-purpose flour (spooned and leveled)
- 2 tbsp granulated sugar
- 1 tbsp baking powder
- ½ tsp salt
- ¾ cup whole milk (or any milk)
- ¼ cup unsalted butter, melted

For the Maple-Cinnamon Filling:
- ¼ cup unsalted butter, softened
- ½ cup light brown sugar, packed
- 1½ tsp ground cinnamon
- 1 tbsp maple syrup
- Optional: ¼ tsp nutmeg

For the Maple Cream Cheese Glaze:
- 4 oz cream cheese, softened
- 2 tbsp unsalted butter, softened
- 1½ cups powdered sugar, sifted
- 2–3 tbsp maple syrup
- Pinch of salt
📝 Too thick? Add milk 1 tbsp at a time.
📝 Too thin? Chill for a few minutes or add extra sugar.
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease or line an 8×8 baking pan with parchment paper.
- Make dough: Whisk flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt in a bowl. Stir in milk and melted butter just until combined.
- Roll out dough on a floured surface into a 9×12-inch rectangle.
- Make filling: Mix softened butter, brown sugar, cinnamon, maple syrup, and optional nutmeg. Spread evenly over dough.
- Roll dough into a tight log. Slice into 9 rolls using a sharp knife or dental floss.
- Arrange in pan, spiral-side up, just touching.
- Bake for 22–25 minutes, or until lightly golden and baked through.
- Make glaze: Mix cream cheese, butter, powdered sugar, maple syrup, and salt until smooth.
- Glaze rolls while warm and enjoy immediately!
Notes
- Make-ahead: Roll and slice, then refrigerate overnight. Bake fresh in the morning.
- Freezing: Freeze unbaked rolls or baked rolls (wrapped tightly). Add glaze after reheating.
- Vegan: Use dairy-free cream cheese, butter, and plant milk—no eggs needed!
